Teen couple injured in gang-related shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland police gang team is investigating two Thursday morning shootings. One of the shootings left a teen couple injured.

Investigators believe the two shootings are connected.

Officers responded to a shooting outside a Holiday Inn at 8439 NE Columbia Blvd. just after 12 a.m.

Police found an 18-year-old man who had been shot. His injury was not life-threatening, police said.

The man was with his 19-year-old girlfriend. She was also wounded in the shooting, police said, but her injury was minor and not life-threatening.

The couple did not have any information about a possible suspect in the shooting.

Just before 3 a.m., officers were called to another shooting near Northeast 83rd Avenue and Thompson Street. They found damage to a motorhome that had two people inside. Neither person was injured.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call Portland police.
