Oregon Department of Corrections officer arrested for sexual misconduct

WILSONVILLE, Ore. -- An Oregon Department of Corrections employee at Coffee Creek Correctional Center in Wilsonville has been arrested for custodial sexual misconduct.

Oregon State Police arrested 50-year-old Edgar Mickles on Wednesday and booked him into the Washington County Jail.

Mickles, who began his career at Coffee Creek in May 2013, faces the following charges: eight counts of first-degree custodial sexual misconduct, three counts of second-degree sexual misconduct and one count of first-degree official misconduct.

The DOC began an investigation into Mickles in February after receiving information that he had engaged in potential criminal conduct.
