Man accused of trying to kidnap teen girl in Beaverton

BEAVERTON, Ore. – A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a June attempted kidnapping in Beaverton.

Robert Friesen was booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of first-degree kidnapping, menacing and unlawful use of a weapon.

Beaverton police say on June 7, Friesen attempted to kidnap a 16-year-old girl in the 5800 block of Southwest Erickson Avenue.

Police believe there may be additional victims.

They say Friesen has been associated with a white Ford Explorer, a light-colored minivan, a silver Honda Civic, and a black Nissan Sentra with faded paint on the hood and fenders.

Anyone who thinks they are a victim of Friesen is asked to call Beaverton police at 503-629-0111. Anyone with information about the June 7 attempted kidnapping is also asked to call police.
