Letter carrier robbed in Gladstone; $10K reward offered

Two men rob, injure mailman in Gladstone

GLADSTONE, Ore. – Two men robbed a letter carrier and stole mail in Gladstone on Tuesday evening.

The letter carrier suffered minor injuries in the robbery. A postal service vehicle was damaged.

The robbery occurred near the intersection of West Dartmouth Street and Beatrice Avenue around 6:20 p.m.

"If it's the normal mailman, he's a friendly guy, he always delivers the mail, he's very very nice," said neighbor Suzy Horvath. "It's extremely unsettling, especially that they'd choose a federal postal worker."

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrests of the suspects.

The first suspect is a man in his 20s who is six feet tall with a heavy build and brown skin.

The second suspect is a man in 20s with a thin build and light skin. He is also about six feet tall.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Gladstone Police or the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455.
