SALEM – Detectives asked for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a credit union in Salem Friday morning.
According to police, the man robbed the Maps Credit Union at 1900 Hines St. SE in Salem at 10 a.m. Friday. He handed the teller a note and demanded money.
The suspect was described as a white man who was around 160 pounds and 5-foot-6, wearing a dark baseball cap, a brightly colored outfit, a string-top closure backpack possibly with a peace sign and baggy pants.
Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call the Salem police at 503-540-2463.
