CAMAS, Wash. – A robber got away with cash from a Camas bank Tuesday afternoon and now police are hoping surveillance photos will help them catch the crook.
The US Bank at 430 NE Adams Street in downtown Camas was robbed just after noon. Witnesses described him as a white man in his 20's with a medium build, short brown hair and a goatee. They said he stood about 5-foot-8 inches tall and appeared to weigh around 150 pounds.
The robber approached a teller and demanded money from her till. A weapon was implied, but not seen, investigators said.
“The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and he fled the area in a green mini-van,” said Sgt. Scot Boyles with the Camas Police Department.
He added that police and K-9 teams searched the area, but found no sign of the suspect.
Police were asking anyone with possible suspect information to call the Camas Police Department at (360) 834-4151.
