PORTLAND, Ore. – Three people were shot in two shootings in Northeast Portland Thursday night.
The first shooting was reported at 9:40 p.m. at Holladay Park, at Northeast 11th Avenue. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a Portland hospital with serious injuries, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson of Portland police.
Witnesses told police the suspect left the area in a car.
About ten minutes later, gunfire was reported in the area of Northeast 21st Avenue and Weidler Street. Officers located a woman and man suffering from gunshot wounds a few blocks away. Both victims’ injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, Simpson said.
Police do not know if the shootings are related. They are searching the area for suspects and evidence.
