PORTLAND – A hiker fell down a steep hill in Northwest Portland Thursday afternoon, prompting fire crews to use ropes in to rescue him.
The man fell down a hill near the Audubon Society at 5151 NW Cornell Road around 4 p.m., according to Portland Fire & Rescue.
Rescue teams developed a plan to rescue the man with ropes.
He was taken to Oregon Health and Science University and was reportedly conscious and alert.
