Cottage Grove Police continue search for missing travelers

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore.-- Two people who have been traveling cross country have gone missing, according to Cottage Grove Police. 

Police posted on their Facebook page that Mathew Freeman and Jayla Horton were traveling from Wisconsin in a group of friends when they were reported missing Monday.

Friends of the two say the couple was visiting a friend at the Cottage Grove Hospital on Monday, April 10 when the two suddenly disappeared. Freeman's mother listed him as missing with authorities in Texas, police say.

Horton's family in Wisconsin also reported her missing to police there and neither of them has been seen since April 10.

Freeman is 5' 7" weighing 120 pounds and was last seen wearing a dark and light-blue striped "Cat in a Hat" onesie pajamas, brown boots and a dark baseball cap.  Horton is 5' 1" weighing 110 pounds and was last seen wearing a light red t-shirt, gray sweats and pink and black Nikes.
