HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. -- Happy Valley is the home for this years next annual NW Natural Street of Dreams, where Home Builders of Metropolitan Portland get to show off the latest in design, style and technology.

This is the 39th year for the show.  Five homes are now under construction high in the hills of the Northern Heights subdivision in Happy Valley.  Builders are actually ahead of schedule thanks to a mild winter.

Each home is unique, from traditional, to craftsman, to Mediterranean and Asian inspired.  The prices range from $850,000 to $1.5 million.

"You'll see sizes from 4000 to 5600 square feet in this years show," said Gerald Rowlett, with Westlake Development Group. "You'll get the opportunity to see the fun products that go into the smaller homes to the bigger homes."

Area home builders compete to be in the show.

For the city of Happy Valley, one of the hardest hit areas during the great recession, the city is seeing a rebirth in propulsion growth and building.

City leaders are counting on the Street of Dreams to continue that momentum.

The NW Natural Street of Dreams will open July 26th and runs to August 24th.
