TUALATIN, Ore. -- Some call it the Disney World for outdoor enthusiasts.

Cabela's second location in Oregon opens this fall at "Nyberg Rivers," just off Interstate 5 at the Nyberg Road exit.

But, first things first. It will take hundreds of people to open the doors.

"We're expecting over a million people in the first month to come into this Cabela's," said Chad Hastings, general manager of CenteralCal Properties.

The grand opening is set for September 19.

Hastings said shoppers from as far away as Idaho are expected to visit this location.

The store, still under construction, is 100,000 square feet.

Inside, a mountain is being built. It will be the centerpiece of the store.

Cabela's is the anchor for the 300,000-square-foot retail complex. Ninety percent of the space is leased.

New Seasons Market, HomeGoods and LA Fitness, plus four sit-down restaurants will also be part of this multi-million-dollar development.

"We're looking at about 1,700 jobs created through this entire project," said Hastings.

To apply for positions at Cabela's, applicants must apply online.

In person interviews will take place June 25-28 at the Worksource office in Tualatin on Southwest Mohawk Street.
