BEND, Ore. (AP) — Hungry for work, hundreds of jobseekers lined up Wednesday to apply at Bend's new Olive Garden.
The restaurant started accepting applications at 9 a.m., but the line wrapped the building well before then. General manager Jerry Michaelson told KTVZ-TV that one person arrived at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Applicant Anami Granger told the station her husband lost his job three months ago, so she's trying to help the family finances. Granger says she'll take anything — "full-time, part-time, whatever I can get."
Central Oregon's first Olive Garden opens Jan. 18.
