BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A $4 million estate in central Alabama that belonged to former HealthSouth chief executive Richard Scrushy is going to be auctioned next month.

An attorney for HealthSouth shareholders says the imprisoned executive's house in Vestavia Hills and two adjacent lots will be sold together. The proceeds will go toward paying Scrushy's debt to HealthSouth Corp. shareholders.

Scrushy's $7.4 million house on Lake Martin was auctioned earlier this month. The only bidder was the HealthSouth shareholder group.

The former HealthSouth CEO owes the money because he was found liable for leading an accounting fraud at the Birmingham-based operator of physical therapy clinics. Scrushy is serving time in federal prison.
