SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- A Marion County sheriff's deputy wounded in the hunt for a stolen car suspect has been released from the hospital.
The Marion County sheriff's office said Monday that Deputy Jim Buchholz went home on Sunday.
On Friday, Buchholz and another officer exchanged fire with a man officers had been seeking for hours.
The suspect was also wounded. He was eventually arrested and hospitalized. Officers said he's expected to survive, but there's no further word on his condition.
