VANCOUVER – An Orchards area business owner is hoping that some crystal-clear surveillance video can lead deputies to the men who broke into his place early Wednesday morning.

In the video, a man in a red and gray sweatshirt shatters the front window of Smokin’ J’s pipe shop with a cinder before pushing the broken glass down.

The two crooks then jumped inside the shop just after 1 a.m., but they only stayed for a few seconds before leaving empty-handed.

Owner Jay Fratt said his alarm system likely scared them off.

“There are repercussions to your actions and I think it’s pretty clear were going to catch one of the guys, and that might lead to the other.”

Anyone who recognizes the burglars is asked to call the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
