PENDLETON – A woman was taken by helicopter to OHSU after getting assaulted behind a baseball field in Pendleton Saturday, police said.
The woman, now in critical condition, went missing Friday night on the river parkway at 6 p.m. She was eventually found by police just before 7 a.m. Saturday behind the Bob White baseball field.
The woman was taken to St. Anthony Hospital and later flown to OHSU for treatment.
Investigators were looking for a person of interest in the attack. He was described as an 18 to 25-year-old man with tan skin. He has dark brown hair and is around 5-foot-10, weighing 150 to 175 pounds.
He was last seen wearing khaki shorts and a brown T-shirt.
