PORTLAND -- A woman was convicted Monday for a deadly hit-and-run on the Burnside Bridge last September.
Kemisha Anderson, 30, pleaded guilty to DUII in court and was sentenced to 10 days in jail and three years of probation.
The victim may have been sleeping on the bridge before wandering into traffic in the early hours of September 30, 2012. Police said Anderson hit the woman and drove away, leaving the injured victim in the roadway.
The victim later died at the scene of the crash.
As part of Monday's plea deal, one charge of failure to perform the duties of a driver was dropped. Anderson will also be required to perform 184 hours of community service.
