HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. – A woman was robbed at knifepoint on the Interstate 205 bike path in Happy Valley on Wednesday, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman called to report the robbery just after 9 a.m. near Otty Road. She told police the man grabbed her from behind, put a knife to her neck and demanded money, said Deputy Marcus Mendoza.
“The victim was able to spin away from the suspect's grasp but was cut by the knife while doing so,” Mendoza said. “The suspect fled the scene on foot from the location and was last seen running south on the bike path.”
He was described as Latino, 18 to 20 years old, about 5-foot-3, with brown eyes and black hair. The victim said the man had full lips, a youthful face and no accent. He was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
Police released a sketch of the suspect (above).
The victim was treated at the scene for a cut on her hand.
