VANCOUVER – A woman was killed and another man hospitalized after an early-morning stabbing that also injured a deputy in Vancouver Saturday, deputies said.
Just after 4 a.m., deputies confronted a man outside a home in the 8700 block of Northeast 89th Avenue. Deputies chased the man back into the home where a long fight ensued, said Sgt. Duncan Hoss with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect was eventually detained and taken to the hospital. His condition was not known.
Deputies then discovered a man and a woman who had been stabbed in the home. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was taken to the hospital, Hoss said.
The deputy injured in the altercation was treated and released from the hospital. Deputies have not released the name of the suspect or the victims.
