VANCOUVER – A woman died in an apartment fire in Vancouver Sunday morning.
Fire crews were called out to the fire at Courtyard Village Apartments at 2600 T Street.
The fire was contained to one unit, but a 27-year-old woman living in the unit passed away, officials said.
A neighbor told KGW the victim was "a great person." The neighbor also said the woman's two pets, a dog and cat, were able to get out of the fire.
The American Red Cross - Cascades Region said seven adults, eight kids, two cats and two dogs were displaced in the fire. The organization was providing food, housing and health services to them.
