NORTH PLAINS, Ore. – A pregnant woman was in a car that slid on black ice and crashed in North Plains Friday morning, deputies said.
Around 9:15 a.m., the woman, who is 7 months pregnant, and her two adult children crashed off the roadway but no one was seriously hurt, according to Lt. Steve Alexander with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman was taken to the hospital to get checked out, Alexander said.
KGW spoke with the woman's husband who showed up at the scene.
"It's a bad thing that happened. I don't care about the car. I care about what's in it. That houses my precious jewels," he said.
