HILLSBORO, Ore. -- Thieves smashed the glass doors of two Hillsboro businesses within about 10 minutes Monday morning, but didn't get away with any cash, police said.

Officers were called just after 5 a.m. to the report of a burglary inside Papa Murphy’s, at 2605 SE Tualatin Valley Highway, said Lt. Mike Rouches of the Hillsboro Police Department.

He said someone smashed a glass window, but apparently didn't get away with any cash.

About 10 minutes later, police were called to a similar burglary inside Hale’s Restaurant, at 2755 SE Tualatin Valley Highway. Rouches said nothing was taken from the restaurant.

Police expected to release more details by Monday afternoon.
