Wildfire near Glendale, Ore. forces evacuations

GLENDALE, Ore. – Evacuations of some homes were in effect near Glendale, Ore. after the Douglas Complex fire continues to burn in southern Oregon.

The fire, which started Friday morning, has burned an estimated 7,500 acres in the Cow Creek Canyon.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was evacuation all homes west of McCullough Creek Road to Reuben. Residents east of McCullough Creek Road were asked to prepare for evacuation.

The American Red Cross opened a shelter at the Glendale Elementary School.
