PORTLAND -- A couple who plan to marry in two weeks reported that many of their wedding gifts were stolen from their Southeast Portland home Monday, police said.
Officer were called just after 11 p.m. to the report of a burglary in the Hazelwood neighborhood, near Southeast Market Street and 112th Avenue, according to Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson.
"The victim told police that sometime during the day, someone broke into his home and stole several wedding gifts including cash, gift cards, and his fiancée's wedding band," Simpson said.
Investigators found someone had removed a pane of glass from the rear of the home and entered through the attached garage. The victim said the burglary occurred between 8 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
