VANCOUVER — The Vancouver City Council was set to discuss delaying the date that residents could begin selling marijuana during a public hearing at City Hall Monday evening.
Under the new law, approved in 2012, Washington residents who want to grow, process or sell marijuana will be able to apply for licenses on Dec. 1.
City leaders said they would consider delaying that date until July 1, 2014 in order to develop zoning standards.
The delay would also allow more time to receive guidance from the state, officials said.
