VANCOUVER -- A Vancouver, Wash., police spokeswoman says an SUV that smacked into a parked patrol car at an accident scene had been stolen the day before.

Spokeswoman Kim Kapp says the patrol car had its emergency lights flashing but the driver of the stolen GMC Yukon managed to drive around a fire truck and hit it.

No one was injured. Police say they believe drugs were a factor in the Monday morning crash.

Kapp says both the man and the woman in the stolen vehicle were in possession of credit cards and ID that didn't belong to them.

The male driver and female passenger were arrested for investigation of multiple offenses, including possession of a stolen vehicle.

The spokeswoman says neither the patrol car nor the Yukon was badly damaged.

The SUV was returned to its owner, who had left it unoccupied and warming up in a driveway on Sunday.
