VANCOUVER -- A Vancouver man admitted to violently raping an 18-year-old man in Hazel Dell and then stealing his clothing on Dec. 17, as first reported in The Columbian.
Devin Brown, 20, pleaded guilty to raping the victim in a vacant building after forcing him to go there at knife-point.
Brown faces a 12 years sentence with the possibility of a life in prison, the Columbian report.
Brown was accused of punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground, threatening to strangle him and then raping him, according to court documents. Afterwards, Brown stole the victim’s clothing, phone and backpack.
The victim eventually got help from a nearby sheriff's deputy and Brown was captured.
Brown was initially charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree rape, first-degree robbery and methamphetamine possession. The charges were reduced in a plea deal.
