THE DALLES, Ore. – A truck crash was blocking both westbound lanes and the left eastbound lane of Interstate 84 near The Dalles Monday afternoon, but the roadway reopened at around 9 p.m.
Two commercial trucks were driving side-by-side westbound on I-84 Monday around 4:15 p.m. when the truck in the left lane drifted towards the right lane, said Sgt. Les Kipper of the Oregon State Police.
The trucks collided about two miles west of The Dalles, coming to rest on top of the divider blocking both westbound lanes and the left eastbound lane of I-84, Kipper said.
There was a small diesel oil spill in the eastbound lane as a result of the crash.
