PORTLAND -- Freezing rain disrupted service on TriMet's Green, Red and Blue line trains Sunday morning, according to TriMet.

By 11 a.m. the transit agency stated that MAX trains were back in service.

"Expect delays through 1 p.m. as regular service returns," said TriMet spokeswoman Roberta Altstadt. "We continue to run shuttle buses and encourage riders to consider regular bus service. Riders can easily plan their route, check other bus routes and check schedules at TriMet.org. We apologize for the inconvenience to riders and appreciate their patience when extreme weather strikes."

TriMet said it continued to run shuttle bus service from the Rose Quarter east. Shuttle buses served stations between the Rose Quarter and Gateway Transit Center, Portland Airport and Clackamas Town Center, according to Altstadt.
