PORTLAND -- Thunder and lightning rumbled through Portland early Thursday morning and KGW meteorologist Nick Allard said the storms could continue into the afternoon.
"Most of the thunder happened overnight, but we still have the chance for more this morning and this afternoon," he said. "There is a large system offshore right now that will increase the chance for more thunderstorms as the morning goes on. "
Allard said to look for "decent rain" in the late morning and early afternoon, with a high reaching 75.
Friday should see morning clouds then clearing. Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend both look sunny. Allad said there was still a chance for showers for Monday. Saturday and Sunday were forecast to be in the 80s while Monday will fall into the upper 70s.
