PORTLAND -- A sudden squall of heavy thundershowers passed over downtown Portland Monday afternoon.
A swirl of black clouds. making their way east towards the Oregon Cascades, briefly roiled with lightning and sent torrents of rain into the streets, snarling rush hour traffic, as they moved into the Rose City.
Hill cautioned commuters that even though storm clouds may seem to pass quickly, the weather could turn heavy again at a moment's notice.
"Take it easy this evening," Hill said. "It could be stormy."
