VANCOUVER -- Three people were injured in a northeast Vancouver crash early Tuesday morning, police said.

A vehicle was speeding down Northeast 4th Plain Boulevard with its headlights off when it went through a red light and crashed into another vehicle at Northeast Andresen Road, said Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

The driver of the speeding vehicle,  Ashley R. Gumbel, 28, was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, Kapp said. The occupants of the other vehicle, Levi J. Verstegen, 20, and Sierra S. Hornsby, 19, were hospitalized with injuries that weren't thought to be life-threatening.

The intersection was closed just after 3:30 a.m. and reopened at about 8:30 a.m. The ramp from State Route 500 to Andresen Road was also closed.
