PORTLAND -- February 2013 was the fourth-driest on record at Portland International Airport with 1.26 inches of rain.
The driest February on record was in 1993, when .72 inches had fallen at PDX. Runnerup was 1964 with .78 inches. The third-driest was in 1988, with 1.17 inches.
March should be off to a good start; dry weather Friday was expected, with high temps in the lower 60s.
And the spring outlook shows that though the next few months will probably be cool, they will likely be drier than usual.
The rainiest February on record was in 1996, when PDX saw 10.03 inches.
