GRESHAM, Ore. – A third person was arrested Saturday in a Gresham kidnapping where a developmentally delayed man was held against his will and robbed last week.

Gresham detectives said they may bust more people after 27-year-old Ashley Marie Adams (pictured center) was arrested shortly after noon.

Earlier in the week, police booked Christopher Toientino, 29 (pictured left), and transient Whitney Engstrom, 25 (pictured right), on kidnapping, theft and burglary charges after they allegedly held 34-year-old Michael Daugherty hostage at an apartment in the 700 block of Southeast 193rd Avenue.

Police rescued Daugherty Friday after East Metro SWAT swarmed the complex. The captors accessed Daugherty’s bank account and took his money, according to Lt. Claudio Grandjean with Gresham police.

Police said the suspects didn’t know the victim but officers said Daugherty was listed as a missing person.
