Allen said he was hosing off the sidewalk outside the Portland Outdoor Store on July 15 when he got into a verbal altercation with Dorson. Dorson then allegedly hit Allen in the face with a skateboard and fled.

Allen said he lost consciousness and later woke up on the sidewalk. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he received 14 stitches in his forehead just above his right eye. He also injured his right arm in the fall.
