MILWAUKIE, Ore -- A teenage male attempting to cross Highway 224 against the light was hit by a truck Saturday night, police said.

One of two teens crossing Highway 224 at Southeast 37th Avenue against the light was hit by a Ford F150 at approximately 8:55 p.m. Saturday night, according to Ulli Neitch of the Milwaukie Police Department.

The teen was hit by the driver's side of the pickup traveling at about 50 mph. The woman driving the truck had the right-of-way. She stopped immediately, stayed on the scene and cooperated with police, Neitch said.

The teen was taken by ambulance to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was not impaired by drugs or alcohol, Neitch said.
