SALEM – The Oregon Public Service Building was reopened after it was evacuated when a suspicious package was found near the front desk Thursday, police said.

The building is home to the Oregon State Police and across the street from the Capitol, which was not evacuated. Four bomb technicians were on scene investigating the package which was found around 2:45 p.m

According to the Statesman-Journal, the bomb squad sent in a robot, which determined that the package was not dangerous.
