TUALATIN, Ore. -- A man suspected of sexually assaulting a Tualatin woman last summer will face trial on six charges including burglary, sodomy and attempted sex abuse, a Washington County grand jury decided last week, after authorities concluded that he'd left DNA evidence at the scene.
Miason Billios, a 24-year-old Tualatin man, was arrested just over two weeks after a woman told police that she had woke up the morning of July 27 to find a burglar touching her sexually.
The suspect fled when she awoke, she told police. A K-9 attempted to track down the suspect but was unsuccessful.
However, a second woman reported she woke up in the same alarming circumstance on Aug. 13 at an apartment on SW 65th Ave., also in Tualatin, police said.
The second victim said she screamed out when she woke up to find a stranger standing over her. The suspect grabbed her and covered her mouth with his hand, the victim said. A dog successfully tracked down the suspected intruder inside the apartment complex during this event.
DNA evidence Billios left behind at the scene was enough to tie him to both attempted burglaries, according to Washington County, which also charged him with attempted sex abuse, resisting arrest, sodomy and first-degree burglary.
Billios was arraigned Tuesday and lodged in Washington County Jail.
