PORTLAND -- Investigators located and impounded the suspect vehicle from a Thursday evening Southeast Portland hit-and-run that critically injured a 22-year-old man.
Around 9 p.m., Max Martin was in a crosswalk on Southeast Powell Boulevard near Southeast 31st Street, police said.
One car on Southeast Powell stopped for him, but a second struck him and left the scene westbound.
Martin was taken to a Portland hospital in critical condition, police said.
Police recovered the vehicle early Saturday and the suspect associated with it was identified, but not arrested.
Powell Boulevard was shut down during the investigation. Anyone with information was asked to call Portland police at 503-823-2216.
