SHERIDAN, Ore. – Deputies are looking for a man who they say tried to rob a Sheridan market Friday afternoon.
The suspect entered Bill’s Market at 836 E Main Street around 1 p.m. and handed a note to the clerk, which demanded money and threatened harm, said a spokesperson with the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office.
While the clerk read the note, three customers approached the counter to purchase some items. The man then quickly left without any money and got into the passenger seat of a car that took off north on Cherry Hill Road.
The suspect was described as a 5-foot-10 black male between 25 and 35 years old. He was wearing a black jacket over a gray hoodie. The vehicle was described as a mid 2000s Volkswagen Passat.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office at 503-434-7506.
