PORTLAND -- One of the suspects involved in a Southeast Portland shootout Thursday was hit by a car while fleeing, but was still on the loose Friday.
Police were called just before 10 p.m. to the report of a shooting at an apartment in the 12900 block of SE Division, according to Portland Police Lt. Robert King.
Responding officers learned that someone had fired shots toward the apartment complex from a car in the parking lot. Someone inside the complex then apparently shot back.
"The shooter from the car got out and ran into the street," King said. "Running away, he was struck by a car but got up and ran away."
A neighbor told KGW he heard more than a dozen shots fired within a five-minute period. Several residents reported damage to the wall of their apartments, but there were no reports of injuries.
Officers did not locate any suspects.
