SEATTLE -- A Federal Way man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a man hit by a stray bullet in May as he drove through Seattle's Central District.
The King County prosecutor's office says Andrew Patterson remains jailed on $2 million bail until his arraignment Aug. 2 in Seattle. He was arrested Thursday in Federal Way.
If convicted of the murder charge with a firearm enhancement, the 20-year-old Patterson would face 15 to 23 years in prison.
Prosecutors say Patterson was firing at someone else across a street and hit Justin Ferrari as he drove through an intersection with his parents and two young children in the vehicle. The 43-year-old worked for several high-tech companies, including Zillow, Microsoft and Expedia.
