PORTLAND – A suspect was arrested Wednesday for attempted murder in connection with a drive-by shooting in Southeast Portland over the weekend.

On Saturday just after midnight, several people were standing outside of the Fortune Star Lounge at 15920 SE Division Street when gunshots were reportedly fired into the lounge’s parking lot, according to Portland police.

Officers talked to witnesses who said a suspect fired multiple rounds from his vehicle and sped away.

No one was hurt in the shooting, police said.

On Sunday, the suspect vehicle was found and towed away. A follow-up investigation led detectives to arrest Michael Stockton, 31, at his job on Wednesday.

Stockton was charged with attempted aggravated murder, attempted murder, attempted assault and felon in possession of a firearm. He was taken to the Multnomah County Jail.
