PORTLAND – A suspect was arrested Thursday in the hit-and-run crash on I-84 that seriously injured two people on May 18.

Judy Bolton, 67, suffered traumatic injuries when another vehicle rear-ended the car she was riding in. The driver of her car was also hurt.

Police found the suspect vehicle on Northeast Halsey Street and 102nd Avenue after the crash. Investigators believe 23-year-old Hanh Huu Nguyen abandoned the car and then fled.

Nguyen was arrested Thursday and booked into the Multnomah County Jail. He faces several charges, including hit and run, assault, initiating a false police report, and reckless driving.

Anyone with further information that may help investigators was asked to contact officer Erik Koppang at (503) 823-2216, or send him an email.
