ALBANY, Ore. – Two Good Samaritans helped save the lives of an Albany dad and his young daughter by alerting them that their house was on fire Monday afternoon.
A couple driving across a bridge nearby spotted smoke at a house and then pulled up to the house at 2887 SE Grand Prairie Road and pounded on the door.
Spencer Kernats and his two-year-old daughter didn’t know the house was on fire until the strangers alerted them.
Everyone got out safely, including the family dog and cat.
Firefighters from several departments worked together to battle the two-alarm blaze.
