PORTLAND – Portland’s Steel Bridge will close Saturday, and Sunday nights, which will likely affect the Monday morning commute, officials from the Oregon Department of Transportation said.
On Saturday, and Sunday the Steel Bridge will close starting at 11 p.m. until 8:30 a.m. on both days for maintenance.
The Morrison Bridge will also be closed to cars and pedestrians from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Crews from Multnomah County will be inspecting the lift span deck of the Morrison Bridge. The deck panels were installed in 2011 and 2012.
On and off-ramps from the bridge to Interstate 5 and Interstate 84 will also be closed, along with the I-5 southbound City Center/Morrison Bridge off-ramp will also remain closed during the inspection.
