PORTLAND -- A squirrel-related equipment failure knocked out power to 9,000 people in Southeast Portland Monday morning, officials said.
Crews responded to Southeast 174th Avenue and Southeast Sherman Street to repair the damaged equipment just after 9 a.m., according to Portland General Electric.
Power was restored within two hours for nearly all customers.
