GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore. – Skiers are likely to get a late Christmas present Friday with a big snow dump at Mt. Hood resorts.
The time that's usually the biggest week of the year has been a bust the past couple of days for Mt. Hood resorts - but there's hope for the New Year.
New powder Friday was expected to be between 12 and 16 inches as snow levels plunge.
Forecasters urged drivers to be prepared with tire chains heading over Cascade passes.
On Wednesday, Mt. Hood Meadows had to shut down due to the slushy conditions.
