SHERIDAN, Ore. -- A Sheridan woman fought off an attacker who broke into her house and sexually assaulted her Thursday night, police said.
The suspect ran away after the victim kicked him in the groin, according to Sgt. Todd Whitlow of the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office.
Police released a description of the attacker and a composite sketch Friday, hoping that a tip would lead to his arrest.
He was described as white, in his mid-20s, about 6 feet tall, 175 to 195 lbs, with a medium build, light hair and blue-green eyes. He had freckles around his eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans. The suspect has crooked, overlapping upper teeth and is possibly a smoker, Whitlow said.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office at (503) 434-7506.
