SALEM, Ore. -- A Salem man told Marion County deputies he broke in and sorted through his neighbor's underwear drawer because he thought she was "pretty," deputies said Tuesday.

On Saturday, a 26-year-old woman told police someone had been in her apartment on the
4200 block of Devonshire Court after noticing it looked like someone had gone through her dresser.

The victim told investigators she was sure it was done by her neighbor, 31-year-old Abel Barrientos-Flores, since he had done a similar thing last year. She also accused him of vandalizing her car and stealing money in the past.

Deputies arrested Barrientos-Flores at his apartment on Monday. He told officers he had broken through a bathroom window so "he could look at Lorena's underwear because he thought she was pretty," deputies said.

He was charged with burglary, stalking and criminal mischief.

Someone should have told the poor guy that it's illegal to do that kind of thing in this country... oh and while they are holding the uninformed underwear sniffer, they should check on his citizenship status.... just to see how far he's got on his classes...

Time for the rednecks to tee off on a Mexican! And WHY does kgw and everyone else give these perverts any attention at all? That reminds me - I better click on an ad or two

This is shocking! I cannot imagine one of our undocumented guests from whatever country he may be from, doing ANYTHING illegal! Who could possibly have seen it coming? The Progressive/Red/Green movement, champion of encouraging our friends from across the border to come here and partake of this country's bountiful social services, has been stabbed in the back. I guess it is time to blame the former president...

We need to change the states name if our government continues to allow this to happen... how does "Mexigon" sound....?

-- Mexigon would only work if the Mexicans were gone! -- -- Ba dump dump cshh! -- -- I'm sorry it's actually not funny but I couldn't resist. -- -- I was waiting for the illegal comments to come, hence the "Wait for it" comment, even though it states no where in the story that he is in fact in this country illegally. --

Progressive/Red/Green movement, where are you (all 4 of them)? Can't wait to see what they have to say but we know already so spare us. I'm surprised KGW is letting some of us normal people speak out about the illegal problem, we'll see how long it goes on till they shut off the comments. Probably not posting this one, I've had others they have not posted. Just what the liberals want.

smart1- "Progressive/Red/Green movement, where are you (all 4 of them)? " I/We commented yesterday at 5:36PM. Unfortunately for you, you were likely still at your job or commuting home in your gas-guzzling, earth-killing motor vehicle. The comment is still there in case you care to become enlightened. By the way, you need to update your PC dictionary. The use of the word 'illegal' to describe ANYONE but a former Cheney Administration offiical, is no longer acceptable. Because you are one of my/our favorite "normal" people, I/we asked for special consideration to allow your commentary. You are welcome. You probably didn't see my/our note to you the other day wherein I/we sincerely and warmly welcomed you to the new kgw.com. It could be because you did not notice that I/we had made a drastic revision to my/our username: It changed from 'hank' to 'hankb'.
